The northern most province is considered the Portuguese garden of Eden, and provides wonderful opportunities for walking and exploring the ancient churches, tracks, villages and Celtic settlements.
The Portuguese hospitality is second to none, and the summer months bring local fiestas and folklore, street dancing and singing, sardines 'A Brasa,' Serra cheese, pungent milho bread and lively 'vinho verde' wine.
Local water sports and sandy beaches within 30 minutes drive.
